Engagement sessions are really so interesting, especially when you haven’t met the bride and groom, because you booked the wedding over the phone, through a referral, and the couple live in another state. I have come to the conclusion that any preconceived creative ideas don’t work as well as spontaneity and being open to the moment. I arrived at their hotel in NYC and after a brief round of chatting with them and their parents we headed off to the park. Camera in ready mode we came across this great mirror in the hallway of the elevator bank and I just couldn’t resist. Looking at each other in the mirror creates such an intimate moment. The rest of the afternoon was a garden of delights, and this couple with such a spark of oneness, made the day a winner.
